Be a part of our ‘Jersey Shore Veteran Stories’ series.
We’ve begun this film series with several incredible local WWII veterans, and we will be moving through some of the most compelling stories as told by our local veterans. Our goal is to make personal films that reflect not only the service that each of our subjects have performed for this country, but very importantly- the person that is before us. Their journey through life and their viewpoint on life’s journey- challenges and lessons and commentary on deeper issues that we can all relate to, such as sacrifice, love, identity, valor and strength. It is through truly ‘seeing’ another individual as a human being that we can understand and engage with their story- This providing the viewer or audience with a true sense of who our veterans are, and the value that they contribute to our daily lives here at the Jersey shore. A beautiful region Where we are fortunate enough to have one of the highest concentrations of veterans in the nation including WWII vets. These stories are crucial to preserving both our history, and the legacy of our neighbors, friends and family members who have served and who have continued to call our area home. Help us in creating these cinematic legacies that will not only serve to honor our veterans, but to create understanding and connections amongst the various generations, and future denizens of the Jersey Shore
Ultimately, We plan to create a Jersey shore vets database, which will catalog the trailers and bios for each of the films. Through the database, both snippets of the films (cross referenced by factors such as theme, war, and other categories) or the whole film can be accessed and shown in various venues.
